Glock Shooting Left - I recently purchased a Glock 17 Gen 5 and last weekend while out and about I noticed my winding was going to the left.
I had my target about 15 yards and realized I hit about 4 inches to the left.
Glock Shooting Left
Any ideas? Could there be a problem with my gun? Or is it a sight issue in my gun?
Can You Shoot .40 S&w Out Of Your 10mm Auto.
Many people "pulled" shots with different guns. Have your friend fire your gun and see if it still "lags". If so, simply push the rear sight to the right.
Best to use a real search tool, rather than a punch; unless you don't mind a broken view.
I have to look at my index finger for a problem area to the left of my Glocks shooting. In my case it was a correctable shooting error. Something about the passing of the years and the visions.

Investigates How A Penny Sized 'glock Switch' Can Turn A Handgun Into An Automatic Weapon
Four inches remaining at 15 yards with a six inch sight radius means the rear sight needs to be shifted RIGHT 0.044”.
Correction times the sight radius divided by the range. I don't know what the sight radius of the Glock is.
Track bullet collisions with the front sight, track the real target with the rear sight. Something my grandfather taught me.

Glock 19 Pistol Hi Res Stock Photography And Images
Hold your hands out in front of you and draw a scene with your hands. Stick out your thumb for a single front sight, and do your best peace sign with two fingers behind it.
Move the rear sight in the direction you want the impact to be....you move the sight to where the gun is firing. Remember....you can never change where the gun shoots, only where you aim when you shoot. The gun will shoot where it will shoot. We need a scene that fits that.
I thought someone would say what the sight radius is on the gun to get a closer solution. It may be longer than the six inches that reduce the .044 needed, but either way, if the before-and-after is fit, it's better to split the difference so the gun doesn't look too angular. Move the back to the right and the front to the left half of the total amount measured from the center line.
Have you tried a dry shot against a wall somewhere and seen if the gun goes to the left when you pull the trigger?
Rounds At 7 Yards With Glock 19. Any Tips Or Patterns I Should Be On The Lookout For?
I'm not afraid to say that the only Glock I own that shoots where I need to go is the Gen 4 17, the others are ALL low. I no longer have the Glock.
I would also say it is the most reliable gun ever, shoots anything I put in it.
I flipped the rear sight to the right but only slightly and it no longer hit the left, it was right where it should be.
This is an old thread, you may not get a response, and may revive old threads. Please consider to create a new thread. I did a little test to see if my Glock 43 was shooting low or was it me? https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBrHctiPyH_swScwYd1fA1Q
Shooting Review: The Glock 30s
Did someone accidentally load some snaps into your magazine. It will definitely show whether you have been snapped or not. It definitely shows when I do it... and every time I take a break - the jerk starts a little bit and is something I struggle through...
If you are right handed this is a common occurrence this is your grip and pull the trigger your pull left and down try to fire your gun and see how you change the image when you pull the trigger it doesn't take much for it knocking off target.. hope this helps, I'm left handed, quite the opposite for me...
Tomcat1977 said: The probability of that weapon is zero. Lower left is a common manifestation of a poor grip mechanism. Assuming your hand placement is correct, use more grip with your left hand and rotate both hands inward to rotate the steady center of the gun. Do not reset after each shot and make sure your strong hand is over the handle. Do not fit the trigger finger after the reset and keep pressing the trigger until you are done shooting. Throw the snap cap in the magazine so you can see yourself when you pull the trigger and don't let the barrel climb over you after every shot. Fight to keep it. I bet we all shoot left and/or low with Glocks. I know I have and for some strange reason mostly with Glocks so you just have to readjust. Click to expand... I know that. That's why I suggested it to the OP.

If you shoot a gun from a stand and it doesn't hit X, it IS the gun, every time. Everything locks and the bullet goes down the barrel - the sights are centered - the bullet hits 2" low and 2" left, or wherever. Arms manufacturing can not match a perfectly centered view. This is really, really common. If it is not the weapon, the sights are centered and made non-adjustable. I'm not saying it's the OP's problem, but just need to check to make sure the sight is sending the bullet where it needs to go.
Left Or Right Hand Saf T Blok
I would venture to say 80% of Glocks, out of the box, will not hit the X at 25 yds when placed in 100% stationary rest.
I'm not saying it's impossible, that's why I said "about zero", but it's almost always the shooters who break it down.

Great video. I wonder how many of the people commenting actually took the time to look at it. I haven't shot the 43 yet but have a 42 and a 26 which are great pistols.

I watched it. The OP doesn't know where the gun hit, and isn't sure that sometimes aiming to die works, or if aiming right.
Thread after thread after thread, I don't know why the concept of laying down a gun is so hard to grasp

The passages I've seen clearly show it's not convincing. He was on target, some, while concentrating, but still a few shots pulled. Despite his views, his hands-off foundations don't have too much to suggest a definitive bottom left.
As for the guns to determine if it hits X with the sight, I think maybe a lot of new or newer Glock shooters will booger from 'low, left' to be more Glock-like and if it does, it will automatically assumed shooters that create problems. That's total bullshit... low, left can happen with any gun on the market, and low, left isn't the only place bullets expect to go. Then there is the crime of considering the view BUT die, a little. A few simple shots from the break tell a bigger story than many people think, and if you really want to rip a hole in the middle of the goal, it's a must.

Eta - So no one who is confused, I don't believe in any way NEW shooters should focus on making sure their opinions are heeded unless they get someone to do it for them. They had no shooting skills, so they definitely didn't know how to spot the sights.
