The United States Air Force has approved maintenance uniforms, commonly called coveralls, for certain occupations.

The service said on Monday that aircraft operating in 11 Air Force categories will be allowed to sport the cover from August, when the rules expire.

The service is in the process of procuring "Tactical OCP" helmets for its Rangers and astronauts, but until the production and procurement period ends, members can wear helmets made entirely of OCP materials or equipped with OCPs and coyotes. Brown nets back, Air Force officials said Monday.
